About Nashkalramalayam

Nashkal is a holy place for "Ramalayam" that attracts thousands of devotees from all over the states in India, it is the abode of Lord Rama (The seventh incarnation of SriMahavishnu). The sacred Shrine is encircled by a small river called "Akeru Vaagu" flowing towards the southern direction for this shrine Ramalayam. This Shrine was constructed in the 17th century when "Sita Ramachandraswamy Shrine", Bhadrachalam was constructed.

The famous festival, Sri Rama Navami(the most popular one at Nashkal) is being celebrated on every 'Chaitra shuddha navami ' on the auspicious 'Punarvasu' -'Janma Nakshatra' (birth star), of Lord Sri Rama.

Vykuntha Ekadasi

And on the auspicious Vykuntha Ekadasi in the months of either December or January in 'Dhanur Masam' on the day of either Push or Margasira shuddha Ekadasi. In the early hours exactly at 5 am Vaikuntha dwarams at Northern Gate will be thrown open for darshan to devotees

Godadevi Kalyanam

The devotees believe that they will attain salvation after having Vykuntha Dwara darshan followed by "Godadevi Kalyanam" is celebrated on auspicious Hindu festival "Bhogi" prior to "Makar Sankranti". This holi festival attracts thousands of pilgrims across India.
